The side effects of medication are far more serious than most people realize.
Here I want to talk especially about three medications which I recently read online at one of the famous online health forum sites.
Tramadol: - It could be the right pain management medication for treating your pain.Its similar to Codeine used to treat moderate to moderately severe pain when treatment is needed around the clock. It does work best if your pain is not too severe. For severe pain a stronger medication may be needed.
It’s also known with various names Tramal, Ultram, Mabron, Ralivia, Ryzolt, Tradonal, Tramacet, Tridural, Ultracet, Zamadol, Zydol, & Zytram.
It should be taken properly while following the prescription instructions so as to avoid serious side effects or even death.
Side Effects of Tramadol:-
Constipation, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, occasionally diarrhea, Somnolence, itching, dizziness, sweating and flushing
Simvastatin: - It’s also known as Zocor, used to treat high cholesterol, and may be used in conjunction with diet changes recommended by your doctor.
Side Effects of Simvastatin:-
It should not be given to women of child bearing age who may become pregnant without excellent contraception and a strong indication.
Others are like weakness, muscle pain, excessive aching or pain after physical exertion, or just vague pain all over, liver related issues including elevated liver transaminases and elevated creatine kinase, abdominal pain, constipation, flatulence or diarrhea.
Metformin: - Its best choice for type 2 diabetes - non-insulin dependent.
Its oral medication that assists in controlling the sugar levels in the blood can be used in combination with insulin or other supplements.
It can also be used in treating polycystic ovary syndrome but people who are prescribed to take this medication are required to undergo regular blood sugar level determination. Although it does not cause the blood sugar level to drop drastically it may cause severe hypoglycemia if used in combination with other anti-diabetic medications.
Metformin Side Effects:-
Lactating women should also avoid it since it may pass into their breast milk.If you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant and you are taking this medication, you should inform your physician the soonest possible time.
Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea and loss of appetite are the most common that it affects more than 1 in 10 people.
Very rare side effects are lactic acidosis, reduced vitamin B12 absorption with chronic use, and skin reaction like itching, flushing or rash.
